In 2015, a concerned community partner brought a need before the coalition, and a partnership was created.

The need for transportation to and from medical appointments, especially to Oncologists and chemotherapy appointments was made known. 

Although Rice County already had busing available through Quivira Transit, the cost was a concern for many indigent families.

Northern Rice County Goodfellows, as a coalition member, took the on the responsibility to raise funds and provide punch cards for Quivira Transit, so persons could receive the much needed transportation to appointments.

The punch cards can also be used to get to local appointments or grocery stores for those in need.

To use this resource, contact Quivira Transit and tell them the ride is on Goodfellows.
