StartFragmentSticker Shock Campaign is a project where the community, youth and alcohol retailers all work together to combat minors getting access to alcohol. It is geared to raise public awareness about underage drinking and youth access to alcohol, and to strengthen the laws against providing alcohol to a minor.
Project Sticker Shock is designed to reach adults who might purchase alcohol legally and provide it to minors. Stickers warning about the penalties for furnishing alcohol to minors are placed on all multi-packs of beer and other alcohol products that might appeal to underage drinkers. On August 25, 2018
Leo Enfield, one of Rice County Coalition for Families and Children Mobilizers organized this campaign with youth from the communities of Bushton, Little River, Chase, Sterling, and Lyons in conjunction with area law enforcement authorities. They spanned out Rice County to deliver not only information but a message of prevention and awareness about underage drinking.
